Scout Center Architectural Drawings

(1)  JCUMC Site Map:  the Scout Center is the blue building in the upper right corner of the church's property on the map below.  The Scout property is located along Bell Rd, down from where the current soccer fields are located.  Additional soccer fields will be located immediately in front of the Center and a shared parking lot with 99 spaces is located between it and the road. 

(2)  Front Elevation (below):  front view of the Scout Center, as seen from the soccer fields.  Notice the porch runs almost the entire length of the building. The main entrance consists of the 2 doors in the middle of the building that are accessed via a set of stairs.

(3)  Side Elevation (below):  side view of the Scout Center as seen from Bell Rd.  The design makes this side view look much like the front of the Center.  The front porch is located on the left of this drawing.   Also notice a side entrance underneath the Flor-di-lis consisting of stairs rising to the left.

(4)  Main Floor Plan (below):  there is a main hall that will seat 240 people with a large stage in the front and a fireplace on the side of the room. There are 12 breakout rooms, 2 conference rooms, a library and multiple sets of boys and girls bathrooms.  The main hall has an extra high ceiling with windows on the upper level allowing sunlight to brighten the room.  The main hall is where Pack and Troop Meetings will be held, as well as Blue & Gold Banquets, Court of Honors, Pinewood Derbies, large training meetings and other large gatherings requiring large spaces.

(5)  Basement (below):  The Basement includes multiple meeting rooms.  Each of JCUMC's sponsored Scout units will have its own (10' x 20') storage space, accessiblle from the outside and the inside.  In addition, there is a large mud room to clean things after campouts that will have a large ice machine for units going camping and for get-togethers
